Merchants Overview

Summary

A vertical service provider (VSP) Merchant is a business that operates within a specific industry and engages a VSP to utilize specialized services tailored to its sector's unique needs and challenges. These Merchants rely on the VSP's customized solutions to enhance their operational efficiencies and competitive edge in the market.

All Merchants that align with your VSP should be loaded into Preczn. Create and Enable your Merchants so you can begin transacting against your configured Connections.

Merchant Vault

The Merchant Vault is a dynamic hub for holistically monitoring and managing your Platform's Merchants. The Portfolio can be accessed from the "Merchants" tab in the Preczn Dashboard navigation menu:

After Merchants have been loaded, you are able to fully manage all Merchants from your Portfolio, including:

• Viewing Merchant stats
• Accessing Transaction details
• Moving Merchants between Plans to leverage the most optimal processing models
• Toggling between Live & Test Mode scenarios

Creating Merchants

Creating a merchant within the Preczn platform involves generating a unique Merchant ID and building a comprehensive Merchant record. Preczn offers a streamlined process designed to efficiently onboard new merchants and set them up for success with Preczn’s advanced payment solutions. Create your Merchant via the Preczn Dashboard, API, or bulk via the Merchant API.

Merchant Credentials

Some processor Connections require credentials at the Merchant level, but not all do. You may not be asked for individual Merchant credentials at this stage if your selected Connection has provided Connection-level credentials.

Enabling Merchants

After your Merchants are created, they will exist under the 'Inactive Merchant' tab in Preczn's Dashboard until they are enabled. Enabling a Merchant makes them active for processing. Enable your Merchant via the Preczn Dashboard, API, or in bulk via the Merchant API.
