Transaction Import
For platforms seeking to evaluate their transaction data without processing transactions through Preczn, Preczn offers transaction import options. These include both a one-time transaction import and continuous transaction imports.
By leveraging this data, Preczn provides a comprehensive view of your merchants’ transactions at both the merchant and platform levels. This insight helps you assess platform performance and make informed decisions to optimize your fintech revenue.
Refer to the Supported Connections Guide to confirm whether transaction import is supported for your fintech connection.
Please Notify Preczn Before Enabling
As a courtesy, we ask that platforms intending to enable transaction import notify their Preczn account manager in advance. This allows us to monitor the import process and ensure optimal performance and results.
One-Time Transaction Import
When a platform has a large volume of existing transactions on a fintech connection, Preczn enables a one-time import directly from the connection. This import will attempt to retrieve all transactions for your merchants from the past 90 days.
Before using this feature, ensure that all merchants associated with the connection have been uploaded to Preczn with valid credentials.
To initiate the transaction import, enable the Transaction Import toggle in the Connection Configuration section of the dashboard. The total import time will vary based on the number of transactions being processed.
Refer to the Supported Connections Guide to confirm whether transaction import is supported for your fintech connection.
Continuous Transaction Import
Preczn also supports continuous transaction import, allowing transactions to be imported in real-time as they occur. To enable this feature, navigate to the Connection Configuration screen and activate the Continuous Transaction Import toggle.
Once enabled, Preczn will listen for webhooks from the connection and automatically import transactions and their results. Please note that this functionality depends on connection webhooks. Your engineering team must ensure that these webhooks remain active and are not deleted after subscription.
FAQ
How to tell if a transaction is an import vs run through Preczn directly
Since transactions can be processed directly through Preczn or imported, you may need to identify whether a transaction was imported. To do this, navigate to the Transaction Log in the Dashboard. Imported transactions are marked with an imported icon next to their status, as shown in the screenshot below.
