Password Policy and Guidance
We highly prioritize the security of our customers’ data. To align with industry standards and comply with PCI DSS requirements, we provide the following guidance on managing passwords securely.
Why Changing Your Password Matters
Passwords are a key defense against unauthorized access. If a password is compromised, malicious actors can gain access to your account and sensitive data. Regularly updating your password helps mitigate security risks and strengthens your overall protection.
How Often Should You Change Your Password?
For optimal security, we recommend that customers change their passwords at least once every 90 days. This aligns with PCI DSS standards, reducing the window of opportunity for malicious actors to exploit compromised credentials.
When Should You Change Your Password?
In addition to regular updates, you should immediately change your password if:
- You suspect it has been compromised.
- You receive an alert regarding unauthorized account activity.
- You have shared your password with someone else (even unintentionally).
- You logged in from an untrusted device or network.
