Release Notes for Preczn v1.5.1
Overview
We are excited to announce the release of Version 1.5.1 of Preczn. This release includes a variety of new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes to enhance your experience.
New Features
New Dashboard
- Dashboard Merchant Portfolio Overview Updates: Updates made to the merchant portfolio overview section.
- Dashboard Tables: Improved the dashboard tables for better data representation.
- Dashboard search field modifications: Modified the search field for enhanced functionality.
Form Visibility
-
Forms Tab on Merchant Records: KYC and RFI form data is now visible in the merchant record. In this release, users will have the ability to see the Last Section Completed so that there is better visibility on where merchants may have stopped filling in the form. Additional improvements to include the completed date/time and additional step granular, such as the last section viewed, are currently in development and will be available during the next release.
ssnLast4- ssnLast4 as an editable field: For connections that offer partial onboarding, Preczn now supports
ssnLast4
as an editable field via the Merchant API and Dashboard. While we recommend the full ownerssn
be collected, we now support the population and sending of onlyssnLast4
for instances where VSPs may not be able to collect the fullssn
from their merchants. Please review if your desired connection supportsssnLast4
as a viable onboarding requirement and possible pay out limitations before only collectingssnLast4
instead of fullssn
.
- ssnLast4 as an editable field: For connections that offer partial onboarding, Preczn now supports
Labels via Merchant API
- Labels Array via Merchant API - Merchant labels are now returned and editable via the Merchant API as an array. This allows VSP the ability to add one or many labels to a merchants for the purposes of filtering and sorting their merchants in the Vault.
Improvements
-
Boarding Forms prevent PO Box Entry: Boarding forms now have logic to alert users and prevent them from entering P.O. Box addresses into address fields that would otherwise delay their onboarding to payment service providers. Notably, this is implemented on Business Address 1 and Owner Address 2.
- If users have a legitimate address that is blocked, our dashboard allows all addresses without restriction so that customer support representatives can assist. Please notify Preczn if there are any issues.
-
Enhanced performance for data processing: Optimized the backend processing for faster data handling.
-
Improved security protocols: Upgraded security measures to protect user data better.
-
Creation Method tracking: Newly created merchants will now display the
creationMethod
attribute in Merchant API requests and Merchant webhooks.creationMethod
tracks whether the merchant was created as a result of anapi
request,manual
by users in the Dashboard,bulkImport
from a CSV upload, orconnectionImport
by importing a merchant record from a connection directly.- NOTE - Only new merchants after the release will have this value. Existing merchants will not.
-
Additional Validation for SSN & ssnLast4 via API: Additional validation has been implemented in the Merchant API to only allow numbers and the appropriate length for
ssn
andssnLast4
fields. Please consult our OpenAPI documentation for additional details on min/max lengths. -
Deleting Requirement Templates via UI: For requirement templates that are not in use, you may now delete them directly via the Dashboard UI.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved payment gateway timeout errors: Addressed issues causing timeouts in the payment gateway.
- Resolved Issue with Storing Merchant secrets: Addressed issue where merchant connection credentials could be sent via API, yet the secret field was not properly stored to database.
Known Issues
Current Known Issues:
- Dashboard - Uploaded Voided Checks and Bank Statements only display in attachments - If a merchant has uploaded voided check or bank statement, currently documents are only visible in the attachments section of the dashboard. They should be visible in the banking section as well. Remediation is in development.
Please report any unexpected behavior to our support team.
